Yes, Schodack Island State Park IS “very birdy.”  Local birder groups report seeing as many a 50 species, including a dozen warbler species, on a single visit to the park!  A portion of the park shelters a Bird Conservation Area (BCA) that is home to Cerulean Warblers, and a Great Blue Heron rookery.  Want to go birding?
